Wild Solitude

Dense, wild, enduring jungle.
Endless emerald foliage scaling towering peaks.

Stormy, snow-covered, jagged cliffs
Like an ominous painting engulfing the horizon.

Rocky crags, weathered, barren slopes
Broken and beaten by nature's wrath.

One glimpse of golden warmth surrounded by shadow.
One remnant of the lost glory of an ancient people.

Isolation, Solitude, Reflection, Awe.
Untamed, Unknown, Unending, Unconquered.

(This is a poem I wrote in 12th grade.)
